Update 1099 Detail File
The information for each 1099 detail record that was created with the 1099s can be edited on this window. It is showing the totals for each well that an entity has an interest in.
NAVIGATION: When browsing between records, be sure to use the lookup list in the toolbar. Changing the owner in the ID field will not take you to a different record but will assign the visible interest to the owner you select. This is changing the information on the current record instead of navigating to a different one. Be sure to use the navigational tools provided in the toolbar to prevent mistakes. Once the proper record is selected you can then make adjustments to it.
The amounts displayed here are the information that will print on the respective entity's 1099 Reconciliation Report. When you build the State 1099s the information for those is created based on the records on this window. If you change the amounts on the "Update 1099" window then you will also need to update the amounts on this window so that the reconciliation report will appear correctly and so that the state 1099s will also be affected when you build them. If you are not going to view the 1099 reconciliation report and you are not going to create the state 1099s then you would not have to update this window.
If the 1099s are recreated with the "Create 1099" window after changes are made then any changes made here will be lost.
The 1099 detail records for every year you have created 1099s in SherWare will be available to be viewed on this window so be sure you are looking at the correct year if you are making changes to an entity's 1099 detail information. You can press the new button and add a record for entities that are not in SherWare but still need to receive a 1099 reconciliation from your company.
You can refer to the "Update 1099 File" window for an explanation of what all the fields on this window are. They are all the same except the well ID, Well Name, and Rents. The 1099 Detail is broken up by well, so on this screen you will have a separate record for each well that an owner has an interest in. All of these records added together will match the 1099 amount that is showing on the "Update 1099 file" window.
Well ID - Indicates the well ID of the well this portion of the owners 1099 was for.
Well Name - The name of the well this portion of the owners 1099 was for.
Rents - Rents are not shown on this window because the software does not track rents by well.
