SherWare 1099 Web Reporting/Submission

This optional feature allows you to upload your 1099 information to a 3rd party for filing. Multiple services can be taken advantage of including mailing the forms to the recipients as well as electronic filing. The 3rd party we work with is NELCO.

An additional fee apply to this service. You can upload your information and see the total cost before committing to anything.

You will still need to create, audit, and make any necessary adjustments to the 1099 numbers as described above. Once the numbers are as you want them, then you can upload the information.

Accounting Year
Specify the year that you would like to file.

Submit All 1099s
All 1099s will be uploaded when this is marked.

Submit Only Non-Employee Compensation 1099s.
This can be marked if you only want to file the 1099s with non-employee information on them at this time.

Submit All But Non-Employee Compensation 1099s
This can be marked when filing the remainder of your 1099s if the Non-Employee Compensation 1099s were already reported.

Submit Corrected 1099s
If corrections are needed, this will allow you to only upload the 1099s marked as corrections.

Upload
Click on the Upload button to start the process. This will transfer the information from SherWare into Nelco. You will then be able to logon to Nelco to audit and confirm the submission.
Once uploaded, you can follow the steps provided on the website until the forms are filed.

NOTE #1:
When uploaded, the initial setting will be for a bundle of all services of "Federal E-filing, Recipient Mail, & Online Retrieval which is more expensive than the "Federal E-Filing" alone. If you only need the Federal E-Filing, then make sure you change this option on the home screen immediately after the records are uploaded.

Note #2:
If you have previously filed with your own TCC number, but now want to file through our 3rd party, then you may want to contact the IRS to cancel your existing TCC number. A return is expected each year for every assigned TCC number, so unless you notify them that you will no longer need that number, you may receive a message from the IRS later in the year warning that a return has not been filed.
