Create State 1099 Magnetic File

This option will produce a magnetic media file of 1099s that can be filed with your state. Choose the year the 1099s are for and the file location the file will be saved on.
Here are descriptions for each field on this window:

State
The state you are creating the file for

Accounting Year

The accounting year the 1099s are for.

Mark the File as a "Test" File
Allows you to create a test file. A test file can be used to validate that the process will work for you.

TCC
The taxpayer code assigned to the producer company for transmitting 1099s electronically or magnetically. This number must be applied for and received from the IRS.

File Location
Choose the location where the magnetic file should be placed. Once you create the file it will be saved in the location you specified with a filename of "IRSTXOH.001".
(OH in this example is for Ohio, but those two characters will change depending on the state.)

If you are creating a magnetic file for multiple companies and saving them in the same location you will want to modify the name of the first one before you create the second one so that it doesn't overwrite it.

Mark Records as Corrected 1099s
If selected, each record created will be marked as a correction.

Choose Selected 1099s
Allows you to select specific 1099 records to add to the file. Those will then be the only owners included.
