Create Form 6 File

Once all information that needs to be reported has been processed on a run closing, you can Create the Form 6 File. This will calculate the totals that need to be reported, and store the calculated totals in a different place for only this report. This ensures that if any changes are made to your core data after this report is filed you will still be able to see exactly what was filed because that information won't change.

The following things must be true for the well to have a Form 6 created for it:
1) The well has "OH" chosen for the state on the well information window.
2) The well cannot be marked as a third party well on the well information window.
3) The well must have some history for it in the year that it is built for.
4) A date must be entered on the Options tab of the Well Information window for First Prod.

Build Records for Year
Enter the year for which the 6/6A form should be produced. This will be the year that the file is being created for and not the year that the file is being submitted.

Example: When submitting the information in 2017 you will be submitting it for 2016. 2016 is what needs entered here.

Build File Based on
Choose to build the file based on production year or accounting year.
The Accounting Year will base the report on the dates that you processed the revenue on a run closing, regardless of when the production took place. The Production Year will base the report on when the production actually came from the ground, regardless of when you were paid.
