The command buttons in the upper left-hand corner of the form give you the capability to search, generate log reports and view individual field values. The Begin and End textboxes are used to filter the transaction log.

Filtering the Transaction Log

You can specify specific log entries to review by changing the Beginning and Ending dates on the form and then pressing the Search Log button. By default, the View Log form loads all the records from the transaction table.
The Select Filtering Criteria dropdown is used to filter the transaction log even further. Working with the records returned based on the Beginning and Ending dates, you can specify which type of transactions to display, all the transactions for a specific table or all the transactions for a specific user.

Printing the Transaction Log

Once you have specified the transaction log entries you wish to view, select the Preview Log Report or Print Log Report button to produce a transaction log report for the current transaction records.

Most fields will display the original and updated values adequately in the lower grid on the form. For those fields whose information is too large to display in a grid, long character strings or memo fields for example, the Display Field Contents command button displays a form which allows you to see the entire value in the field.
