E-Mail Preferences
The E-mail preferences will be used when e-mailing a report from SherWare. You can e-mail a report by marking the option to send the report to file, then marking the option to e-mail the report.
Use Outlook Mail Settings
If you use outlook on this computer, you can simply mark this option and it will use your Outlook settings. You then don't have to fill out the fields on the rest of the window.
Don't Automatically Report Errors or Diagnostics to SherWare Support
Marking this option will disable the automatic error reporting that notifies SherWare support when an error is experienced within the software.
Mail Server
The address of your mail server. This will be something like "smtp.gmail.com."
E-Mail Account
The name of your e-mail account user. This is case sensitive.
Password
The password to login to your e-mail.
E-Mail Address
The e-mail address that you want e-mails to be sent from.
SMTP Port
The SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) Port required for your email service.
Use TLS/SSL
A security feature required by some email programs.
Test E-mail Setup
Click the Test E-Mail Setup button to test that the information entered above is correct. An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you entered as your e-mail address. If you receive this e-mail then you have set this window up correctly.
AOL Settings:
Mail Server: smtp.aol.com
E-Mail Account: Full email address (including "@aol.com")
Password: The password you use to login to your AOL email.
E-Mail Address: Full email address (including "@aol.com")
SMTP Port: 587
Use TLS/SSL: This option should be marked
GMAIL Settings:
Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
E-Mail Account: Full email address (including "@gmail.com")
Password: The password you use to log into your gmail account
E-Mail Address: Full email address (including "@gmail.com")
SMTP Port: 587
Use TLS/SSL: This option should be marked
You will need to update your Gmail settings to Enable IMAP access. You can do this with the follwing steps:
1) Click on the Gear/Cog icon in the top right corner and choose "Settings" from the menu that appears.
2) Select the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab near the top.
3) In the section titled IMAP Access, select "Enable IMAP".
You will need to update your gmail settings to allow less secure apps to use your account. You can do this with the following steps.
1) Click on the Gear/Cog icon in the top right corner and choose "Settings" from the menu that appears.
2) Select the "Accounts and Import" tab near the top.
3) In the section titled Change Account Settings, select "Google Account Settings".
4) Under the Sign-in & Security Section, select "Connected Apps & Sites".
5) Find the option to "Allow Less Secure Apps" and turn it on.
Hotmail Settings:
1) If you have the option marked to use Hotmail for your provider, it will ask you to save two files to your DMIE folder. If it does not, these are the two files to download and save to your DMIE folder:

2) Setup your email preferences with the following information:
Mail Server: smtp.live.com
E-Mail: Your e-mail address
Password: The password to log in to your email account.
E-Mail Address: Your email address
SMTP Port:
Use TLS/SSL: This option should be marked
Windstream Settings:
Mail Server: smtp.windstream.net
E-Mail Account: Full email address (including "@windstream.net")
Password: The password you use to log into your Windstream account
E-Mail Address: Full email address (including "@windstream.net")
SMTP Port: 587
Use TLS/SSL: This option should be marked
Yahoo Settings:
Yahoo does not allow you to use outside services for Yahoo email unless you have a premium account. That just means that you have to pay for your email through Yahoo before they will let you email from another program like SherWare. If you do not have a premium account then you will not be able to setup the email preferences in SherWare unless you get another email account. If you do have a premium account then you can setup the preferences with the following.
Mail Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
E-Mail Account: Your Yahoo mail ID without the "@yahoo.com" ending.
Password: The password you use to login to your yahoo email.
E-Mail Address: Your email address. (xxx@yahoo.com)
SMTP Port: 587
Use TLS/SSL: This option should be marked
