Compression/Gathering

Compression and Gathering can be set up within SherWare to be automatically calculated based on the MCF entered for a well.

You can set up the compression and gathering in two different locations within the software.

1) Edit> Preferences> Misc. Preferences
This window allows you to set up the compression and gathering rates as a global setting. It will automatically calculate this for all wells marked to have compression and/or gathering charged in the Well Information window.

2) Maintain> Well Information> Options Tab
This window allows you to specify that the well should have compression and/or gathering charged, and also allows you to specify an individual rate for this well. If the individual rate is left empty, the system will use the global rate defined in the Misc. Preferences mentioned above.

If an amount is specified in both the preferences and the Well Information window, the amount from the Well Information window will be used for that well instead of the global amount in the Misc. Preferences.

Compression and Gathering will be allocated to the owners in a well based on the Division of interest in the MCF class.

These amounts will be calculated automatically at run closing based on the MCF processed for the well during the run closing.

The vendor that compression and gathering should be paid to can be specified in the Misc. Preferences under the Edit menu.
