Modify W2 File

After the W2 is created, you can edit the amounts that it calculated for each W2 record on this window. You can change the amounts, add new records, or delete records.

Changes made on this window will only affect what prints on the W2, it will not affect any history or other reports in the software.

To edit an employess W2, you will need to click on the lookup list in the toolbar and select the desired record from here. Take note that records from past years will also be visible on the lookup list. Be sure that you are editing the record created for the current year.

Each field on this window will be printed on the W2 in the respective location. Editing the amounts in these fields directly affects what prints on the W2 for this record.

PLEASE NOTE:
- DO NOTbrowse to a different employess W2 record by typing in their name in the "ID" or "Name" fields. This will change the current record to be associated with that employee instead of pulling up a different record for them.
- Re-creating the W2 file AFTER making changes to this window will cause your changes to be overwritten. You will then need to redo any necessary adjustments that were made to this window.
- Once created, the W2 file doesn't need to be recreated unless you have processed additional payrolls. Any changes can be made from this window.
- Records from past years will appear on this window. Make sure you are editing the current year.
