Close a Fiscal Accounting Period

Closing a fiscal period marks the period as being finalized so that no transactions can be entered into the period. This effectively 'locks' the period and its balances.

Note: Closing the Fiscal Accounting Period is not the same as closing the Fiscal Accounting Year.

Fiscal Year
Enter the fiscal year as YYYY. This is the fiscal year the period is in that you are closing.

Fiscal Period
Enter the fiscal period as MM. This is the fiscal period that you are closing.

Close Period
Choose this button to close the period.

Exit
Choose this button to exit this.
