1099 Setup
This menu allows you to modify 1099 formats used by SherWare.
Refer to the Report Designer topic for more instructions on modifying each of the formats.
You can modify the following 1099 report formats:
The format used when printing 1099s on the pre-printed forms. This allows you to align the informaton on the 1099 with the pre-printed forms. The 1099 format will be repeated on the page when it is printed so that the system will print two 1099s to a page. It may be necessary to move the Detail bar higher or lower depending on whether the second 1099 is wrapping to a second page.
Editing the bottom record:
When printing the 1099s on the pre-printed form it will print 2 records on each page. This report designer format is only displaying the form once. After this information prints at the top, it repeats itself at the bottom of the page. Adjusting the top fields will also affect the bottom record.
If the bottom record is printing too high or too low, then you can adjust the space at the bottom. Adding more space to the bottom of the format will lower the bottom record because it will be lower on the page before it repeats itself. To adjust the space click and hold on the gray "Detail" bar while dragging it up or down a little.
The format used when printing the 1099s on blank paper. The default statement is hard-coded into the software and can't be modified. If you would like to modify it then contact SherWare support and request the "ten99miscx" formats. Once these formats are located in your reports folder then it will be used in place of the default format and you will then be able to modify it.
